In an exhibition for Fajr International Theater Festival, Iranian firefighters killed in a high-rise collapse incident in Tehran have been commemorated.
The exhibition showcased selected artworks for a competition titled “Photos, Posters and Visual Identity’ was held Friday with several officials and artists in attendance.
The art exhibition for Fajr Festival was held at a gallery of Iranian Artists Forum based in Iran’s capital city of Tehran.
Mahdi Shafiee, an official with Iran Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, said in the ceremony that “the bitter incident” of a high-rise collapse in Iran has mourned us.
An official with Fajr Theater Festival also said all theatre plays performed in all halls for the event were dedicated to those devoted firefighters killed in the collapse.
Fajr International Theater Festival is annually held in Iran, featuring local and international theatrical works and performers. The 35th edition of the event runs till January 31st.
Plasco Building in Tehran caught fire in early Thursday and came down only hours later. Several firefighters were killed during the rescue operation.
